National consultations for the Zimbabwe eTrade Readiness Assessment (eT Ready)

In the context of the eTrade Readiness Assessment (eT Ready) of Zimbabwe undertaken by UNCTAD’s E-commerce and Digital Economy (ECDE) Branch at the request of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Zimbabwe, multi-stakeholder consultations will be organized from 19 to 20 March in Harare, and on 22 March in Bulawayo.

The consultations will bring together representatives of the public and private sectors as well as academia, civil society, and development partners, to discuss and gather perspectives on the main challenges and opportunities for e-commerce development in Zimbabwe. In addition, bilateral meetings will be organized with businesses active in the e-commerce space, including led by women entrepreneurs, as well as resident UN agencies.

The assessment is undertaken with the support of the Republic of Korea and ECDE core donors.
