Briefing of the WTO Negotiations on Fisheries Subsidies

19 May 2022
13:30 - 14:30 hrs. On line

We are at the last phase of WTO fish subsidies negotiations. A potential WTO Agreement on fisheries subsidies at the WTO 12th Ministerial Conference will be probably the most important oceans economy multilateral outcome this year.

A briefing on main content and main trade, development and governance implications of a potential agreement was organised in parallel to Fifteenth round of Informal Consultations of States Parties to the United Nations Fish Stocks Agreement in order to inform delegations on most recent developments and prepare the ground for implementation.
